About One Quilt Place

One Quilt Place is a quilter’s paradise nestled in the Texas Hill Country. German settlers established the historic town of Fredericksburg in 1846. One Quilt Place is located on one of the original 10 acre homesteads, where our log cabin was built in 1883.

We are a full service shop specializing in batiks, civil war, 30’s reproduction fabrics, Texas flair, wildflowers and wool, along with many other fine collections from today’s top quality fabric designers and textile houses.

We carry the latest books, patterns, notions, and just about anything the quilt lover could want in our 5,500 square foot shop. Visit our shop page to find out more about our products.

Our complex includes “The Studio” a 1,500 square foot classroom, where we offer a variety of affordable classes for beginners to advanced quilters. Be sure to check out our calendar for upcoming new classes.

You can spend the day or stay the night in “The Cottage” our 1,800 square foot guesthouse which comfortably sleeps 10, has 3 bathrooms, hot tub and private fenced courtyard, just steps from the shop. We also have our original 1883 log cabin for 2 on the property.

We offer retreat programs for any number and will gladly put together special demonstrations for your group. We have a lot going on and many events and classes that you can participate. Head over to our events page to find out more.
